Gianfranco Spinelli

Overview

Gianfranco Spinelli is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's New York office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Industry Team. He is also a member of the firm’s Digital Health Team and assists in the production of the Health-e Law podcast.

Areas of Practice

Gianfranco’s practice tackles all aspects of healthcare law, covering transactional, operational, and regulatory compliance matters, as well as bespoke strategic endeavors that arise in the complex and highly-regulated healthcare space.

He advises clients in connection with a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic and nonprofit affiliations, and general corporate matters.

Gianfranco represents provider groups, health plans, private equity firms, hospitals, healthcare systems, independent practice associations, and managed care organizations active in the healthcare sector. Gianfranco understands the regulatory obstacles that his clients encounter on a regular basis in the healthcare industry, and leverages his experience to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to address those hurdles efficiently.

Prior to Sheppard Mullin, Gianfranco worked as a Project Leader for a leading academic medical center analyzing payor contracts and improving operational efficiency. Gianfranco leverages the operational experience he gained early on in his career to offer his clients valuable insight into the business challenges and opportunities throughout the healthcare industry.
