Areas of Practice
Matt’s practice focuses on representing employers in a wide array of labor and employment subject areas. He regularly represents clients nationwide in federal and state court, various arbitration forums, and proceedings before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and state agencies throughout the United States. Matt’s representative matters include defending against single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class and collective actions. He has experience in trade secret misappropriation and restrictive covenant breach claims, wage/hour claims, labor management relations, and the defense of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and related claims.
In addition to his litigation practice, Matt also advises clients on strategies for handling various employment practices, including new hire issues, employment contracts, employee discipline and termination, internal investigations, legal compliance, and policy creation. He also develops training programs and conducts trainings for clients concerning appropriate workplace behavior and wage and hour compliance. Matt has experience in a variety of industries, including financial services, media and entertainment, advertising, tech, healthcare, higher education, and sports.
