Sheppard Mullin Entertainment Practice Advises Domain Capital Group in Landmark Acquisition of Miranda Lambert Catalog
Sheppard Mullin advised Domain Capital Group in its landmark acquisition of the career-spanning music catalog of multi-Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Miranda Lambert. The transaction, in partnership with Sony Music Publishing, also includes an exclusive songwriter agreement with Lambert covering future works, further expanding Domain’s investment in premier music rights.
Lambert, one of the most influential figures in modern country music, is known for hits such as The House That Built Me, Bluebird and Mama’s Broken Heart, is among the most decorated artists in the history of the Academy of Country Music Awards. She has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
The Sheppard Mullin team representing Domain Capital included Alexis Robinson, Aerin Snow, Serene Ateek and Tatev Hovhannisyan.
