Cauley Simmons Oliver

Cauley is an associate in the Vorys Cleveland office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group.  She is a commercial finance attorney whose practice primarily focuses on representing lender and large corporate borrower clients in a variety of both secured and unsecured financing transactions, including syndicated facilities, asset-based lending, acquisition finance, fund finance, mezzanine lending and real estate finance, as well as workouts and restructurings.

Cauley has presented on finance law topics on numerous occasions, including co-presenting with in-house counsel at RILA’s Retail Law Conference on a panel focused on building effective partnerships between in-house legal teams and outside finance counsel during complex financial transactions.  She was recognized by Chambers USA as the only “Associate to Watch” in the state of Ohio in banking and finance for 2025.

Notable experience includes: 

• Advising Victoria's Secret & Co. and its material subsidiaries in connection with the renewal and extension of its $750 million syndicated, multi-currency asset-based credit facility
• Advising Worthington Industries, Inc., in its spin-off of Worthington Steel, Inc., as an independent, publicly traded company
• Advising Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in connection with its $500 million ABL facility, including a $100 million European sub-facility
• Advising Myers Industries, Inc. in connection with a $400 million incremental term loan as part of its acquisition of Signature Systems
• Advising American Nitrile in connection with a $105 million investment from Orion Infrastructure Capital
• Advising Bob Evans Restaurants, LLC in its sale by San Francisco-based private equity firm Golden Gate Capital to 4x4 Capital

Cauley received her J.D. magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was a member of Order of the Coif and the publisher of the Case Western Reserve Law Review.  She received her B.A. with honors from Clemson University.
