Overview
Khaled is a partner in the Vorys Washington, D.C. office and a member of the intellectual property group. With a background in electrical engineering and experience as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Khaled brings a robust technical and legal background to his practice.
For more than two decades, Khaled has been a trusted advisor to tech companies in Silicon Valley, guiding them in building and monetizing their U.S. and international IP portfolios. His extensive experience spans from working with startups to large multinational corporations, where he has collaborated closely with inventors, in-house counsel and business leaders to develop and implement effective IP strategies in highly competitive high-tech industries.
Khaled’s technical experience covers a wide range of areas, including computer software and hardware, networking, cloud storage and computing, memory devices, electronic design automation (EDA) and circuit design, analog circuits, antennas and wireless transmission, signal processing, clean energy, battery technology, avionics and aeronautics, electro-optics, imaging and medical devices. Additionally, Khaled has significant experience in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), both in utilizing AI tools to enhance his practice and in working on AI-related patents. His deep understanding of AI technologies allows him to provide insightful and strategic IP counsel tailored to the specific needs of his clients in this rapidly evolving field.
Khaled received his J.D. from the Southwestern University School of Law. He graduated with a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland.
