ICSC Regional Law Conference

Kari Coniglio and Carrie Brosius, two partners in the Vorys bankruptcy, restructuring and distressed situations subgroup, participated in a panel at the ICSC Regional Law Conference in Columbus, Ohio on February 27.  Coniglio served as moderator while Brosius participated in the session, which was titled "Process Makes Perfect — Polishing Your CRE Distressed Asset and Receivership Playbook." 

The presentation provided a comprehensive guide to the receivership process for distressed commercial real estate (CRE) assets, covering the motivations and qualities sought by banks, legal considerations — including jurisdiction and emergency relief — and the receiver's role in stabilizing properties and achieving successful outcomes.  Brosius was joined on the panel by Kevin Garvey, senior vice president at Peoples Bank and Jeff Lane, CEO of Prodigy Properties.
