Overview
Shelley is a civil litigation paralegal in the Vorys Columbus office, primarily working in complex antitrust and multidistrict litigation, with additional experience in contract litigation, oil and gas matters, insurance litigation, intellectual property and trademark/trade dress litigation, RICO/fraud litigation, employment law matters and construction contracts. Shelley has prepared for and participated in the presentation of cases in state and federal courts as well as Ohio Board of Tax Appeals hearings.
Shelley piloted the firm’s first electronic docketing software program to support the opening of our Orange County office and served on the team overseeing the transition to a cloud-based application. She has a certificate in Everlaw Storybuilder and is experienced in multiple litigation ESI database and trial preparation tools such as Viewpoint, Everlaw, Opus and OnCue. Shelley has considerable experience in filing procedures for district and state courts across the United States, as well as research and service of federal, state and foreign subpoenas.
Shelley also has experience in small business management, nonprofit administration and accounting. She previously worked as a legal billing specialist at Vorys, supporting the bankruptcy and eControl teams.
Shelley received an MSL from The Ohio State University. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Akron and has also earned a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
