Suzuki Receives Excellence in Public Service Award from the Public Interest Law Foundation
Asafu Suzuki, a senior attorney in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the labor and employment group, has received the Excellence in Public Service Award from The Ohio State University College of Law Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF). According to PILF, the award is presented to two “outstanding attorneys for their continued commitment to public interest work in our community.”
Suzuki received the award at the PILF’s annual auction, held at The Ohio State University’s Fawcett Center on March 5, 2026.
Asafu is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and her practice focuses on immigration, nationality and employer sanctions (I-9) law across a range of industries. She also serves as the pro bono liaison for AILA’s Ohio Chapter and focuses her pro bono work on naturalization and defensive asylum matters.
